ABOUT THE FARM
new hill, north carolina
Since 2016 we’ve lived here on the farm in New Hill, enjoying the challenges and rewards the farm provides. When we first got here, the land looked very different than it does today. The place had sat vacant for over a year, so a good portion of the property was heavily overgrown. Little by little we began clearing out the overgrowth and reclaiming the land. While this wasn’t easy, and certainly didn’t happen overnight, it allowed us to connect to the land in a different way and got us thinking about how we could better utilize the newfound space. So, in the spring of 2017, our farm became home to honey bees, providing us with sweet raw honey. Then, in the spring of 2018, we added chickens, giving us healthy farm fresh eggs.
In 2020 we began our cut flower venture to provide fresh, organically grown cut flowers to our surrounding communities. With this came a new set of hurdles, but the reward has been as satisfying as it is beautiful. We look forward to what the future holds as we continue to add new varieties and grow relationships within our local markets.
